To ensure all children move into the wider world as confident and involved learners, here at Ballan Pre-school we aim to provide an environment for children that is safe, nurturing, motivating, positive and sensitive. We also aim to encourage all children to respect the needs and rights of others and to develop into thriving independent learners. We acknowledge that children are capable learners with many skills and abilities and with this in mind we will support the children and build on their own experiences, knowledge and understandings of the world around them.
Ballan Pre-school’s program is designed and implemented by Degree Qualified Early Childhood Educators who work in partnership with Certificate 3 teachers who all have many years of combined experience.
Ballan Pre-School provides an Emergent curriculum which is play based and that builds upon the strengths and interests of the children and also works in alignment with the Victorian Early Years Learning Framework. A large emphasis is placed on the interactions all educators have with the children.
We have a highlighted emphasis on the environment, both physically and emotionally. The outside garden is considered an extension of the inside room and as much thought is placed into planning for outside as is for the indoors. We also provide a bilingual and inclusive program which is aimed at awareness of diverse cultures as well as inclusion of all children and families within the community. The Committee is a parent run Committee focussed on achieving the best outcomes for the children and community.
